Synthesis and electrochemical behaviors of platinum nanoparticles decorated ionic-liquid-attached graphene for fuel cell electrocatalysts |

1-ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumtetrafluoroborate (EMIBF4) functionalized reduced graphene oxide (RGO) supported Pt nanocomposites (Pt/EMIBF4-RGO) were prepared through a facile chemical method. The electrochemical characterization of Pt nanocomposites were measured by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The fundamental electrochemical test results indicated that the electrocatalytic activities of Pt/EMIBF4-RGO composites were shown better than Pt/RGO composites, which was attributed to the increase of the graphene conductivity by EMIBF4. Also, EMIBF4-RGO composites with different EMIBF4 to GO ratios indicating that an optimum mass ratio exists. |
