제목 How reliable is the early-stage evaluation of low TRL technologies? A case study for methanol production via autothermal reforming
초록 Depending on the technical maturity of emerging technologies, the amount and quality of the available data vary, and thus the method for sustainability analyses should be different. Our previous study (Roh et al., 2020. Green Chem. 22, 3842) presented an early-stage evaluation procedure for immature CO2 utilization technologies. We conduct a case study to analyze how performance indicators evolve as the technology readiness level (TRL) of an autothermal reforming-based methanol production technology increases from 2 to 9. . We used the values of previous experimental studies and aspen plus to proceed with the study. We confirm that as the technology gets more mature, the indicators became closer to those at TRL 9.
