제목 Thermal stability of Polymer-Carbon nanotubes composites
초록 Poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanocomposites blended with various weight fractions of carbon nanotubes (CNT) were prepared. and their thermal properties, including glass transition temperature and degradation effect were investigated. The thermal stability of PMMA was significantly enhanced when only small trace of CNT were mixed. This phenomena was postulated that free radicals produced from degradading PMMA might strongly interact with the mixed CNT network. Furthermore three regimes of the activation energies of PMMA for degraction were up by 30kJ, 34kJ and 58kJ, respectively, while Tg of CNT-mixed polymer was enhanced by 9¡ÆC.
