A di-functional epoxy resin(DGEBA) was cured by photoinitiator, triarylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate salts for Electron Beam(EB) curing, and by catalytic Lewis acid, boron trifluoride ethylamine complex for thermal curing. The concentrations of the photoinitiator and the Lewis acid were varied in the range of 1 to 5phr. The cured epoxy resin plagues were used for characterizing the thermal and mechanical properties. The results of thermal and mechanical properties were discussed in terms of the concentrations of curing additive as well as curing technique employed, and finally related to the parameters of crosslinked network structure. This was supported by Korea National University of Transportation in 2015. |
