In this study, vanadium (III) fluoride (VF3) nano crystals (NCs) were prepared by colloidal synthetic method, moreover, the VF3 NCs were simply adsorbed on carbon black, commonly used conductive agent in lithium ion batteries (LIBs), by electrostatic attraction. These VF3 NC and VF3-carbon black composite (VF3-CB) were applied to electrode material of lithium-ion battery (LIB). Several spectroscopical and electrochemical analyses were conducted on the material and electrodes to investigate their charge-storage behavior, respectively. Novel structure of VF3 NC was elucidated by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. Moreover, deltailed electrochmical charge-storage behavior during cycles on the LIB electrode will be presented. |
