The dependency on fossil fuel as an energy source has been increasing depletion of fossil fuels as well as environmental pollutions Thus, we have to develop environmental friendly technologies for renewable energy production. Recently, research about bioethanol production from various biomass have been performed actively. However, in production of bioethanol, the costs of the enzymes to be used for hydrolysis of the raw material need to be reduced and their efficiency increased in order to make the process economically feasible. Enzymatic hydrolysis for conversion of cellulose to the fermentable monomeric sugar, involves the synergistic activity of three types of cellulases. Study about improvement of enzyme activity should be investigated to reduce hydrolysis cost. Therefore, we investigated for optimization of cellulase production from the brown-rot fungus Fomitopsis pinicola. |
