제목 | Optimum reaction conditions of L-arabinose epimerizationfor L-ribose production |
초록 | Ribose exists D- and L- form isomers in nature. L-carbohydrates including L-ribose have been used in the industry offood, cosmetic and medicine. For example, L-ribose has been used as the starting material of curing hepatitis B in medicinal industry. However L-ribose, which is the enantiomer relationship withD-ribose, doesn't exist in nature. Therefore L-ribose has increased in demand as high-value products and it has been produced by enzyme and epimerization reaction. L-ribose that is C-2 epimer relationship with L-arabinose can be obtainedby epimerization of L-arabinose. In this study, epimerization reaction and catalystssuch as molybdenum(VI) oxide and molybdic acid were tested. Product concentrations of L-ribose was analyzed by Luna NH2 HPLC column. A comparative study on the yield of L-ribose was performed with change of reaction concentrations and catalysts. |
