제목 High performance smart window with ultralow resistance graphene layers
초록 Transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) are essential component of polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC)-based smart window. Indium tin oxide (ITO) has been widely used as TCEs in PDLC-based smart window during the past two decades owing to its high optical transmittance, approximately 90% at 550 nm, and low sheet resistance, as low as 30 ohm/sq. at a layer thickness of 150 nm. Nonetheless, the adoption of ITO for flexible smart window is not easily accessible due to its fragility. Among the various candidates, graphene have become the promising material as TCEs for application in smart window owing to its high transmittance, low sheet resistance, and flexibility. However, the weak adhesion between the transferred graphene and the substrate can lead to device failure during the fabrication process and non-operating at an applying voltage.
In this work, we introduce the adhesion improvement of the graphene/substrate interface using water-induced cleaning treatments, which results in the stable driving, low turn on voltage, and fast switching time of smart window device.
