In this study, new solid polymer electrolytes were synthesized and these ion-exchange capacities (IEC) were controlled in the wide ranges from 0.02 to 2.7 meq/g by radiation grafted techniques and sulfonation processes. And new effective electro-active capabilities based on synthesized IEC-controlled polyelectrolytes with nonaqueous solvents were successfully demonstrated by impedance measurement, cyclic voltammetry, FT-SEM, EDS, FE-Raman, DSC and laser displacement meter. Experimental results indicated that the air-operating stability and air-evaporative resistivity of new prepared polyelectrolytes with effective actuations are dependent upon various properties of immersing solvents in IEC-controlled membrane. |
