제목 KTFSI as CO2 carrier in Polymer Electrolyte for Facilitated Transport Membrane
초록 CO2 capture technologies have been highlighted over the past decades. Among the various technologies for CO2 capture, membrane process has been considered as an effective tool due to its low energy consumption, environmental friendliness. Especially, facilitated transport membranes show high gas selective performance by introducing carrier which interacts with specifically and reversibly. Because of carrier-mediated transport, facilitated transport membranes show higher permeability with high selectivity. In this presentation, we prepared and investigated facilitated CO2 transport membrane comprising potassium bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonylimide] (KTFSI) dissolved in a Pebax2533. Adding potassium salt to the membrane shows further improvement in gas permeabilities while maintaining or even improving the gas selectivity. Therefore, we have demonstrated that the facilitated transport membrane utilizing KTFSI could be very effective in enhancing the CO2 separation performance.
