제목 A New Architecture for Fibrous Electronic Devices Based on a Double-Stranded Assembly of Electrode Microfibers for Electronic Textile Applications
초록 An important milestone of smart wearable technologies is the integration of computational systems into our daily outfits. With the increasing importance of electronic textiles as an ideal platform for wearable electronic devices, fiber-shaped electronic devices which can be directly embedded into the fabric are received special attention. In order to realize a fiber type electronic device, a new device structure suitable for a three-dimensionally curved fiber shape is required as well as a functional material compatible with a fiber thread should be developed. In this presentation, our recent achievements in the fibriform electronic devices such as transistor, sensor, and battery, based on twist assembly of functional microelectrodes coated by functional active materials will be introduced. Strategies for uniform fiber coating of microfibrs, structural development of functional materials in microfibers for realization of E-textile applications will be discussed.
