제목 | CFD and CPFD modeling for catalytic methane decomposition: Induction Heating fluidized bed reactor design |
초록 | Hydrogen production through methane decomposition for CO2-free H2 production directly produce methane into hydrogen and carbon without generating any by-product. Decomposition using catalysts of methane requires high operational temperature at approximately 900 °C as an endothermic process. In this study, the induction heating process was simulated for the efficiency of the usage of energy and determination of the reactor materials. Furthermore, Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics (CPFD) software was used to consider the flow of bed materials as a catalyst, and accordingly, it was possible to predict the internal bed material flow and optimize the bed material.
