Semiconductor quantum dot (QDs) has been focused on many research because their unique optoelectronic performance such as strong photoluminescence and size-dependent emission wavelength. However, heavy metal-based QDs has caused environmental problem because of their highly toxicity. Thus, development of nonmetal based quantum dots has received many research interests due to its environmental-friendly and biocompatible property including photo-catalysis, light-emitting displays, and even bio-imaging. Herein, blue-emitting Si nanoparticles (Si NPs) were simply prepared using silicon sources together with monosaccharide as organic reducing agents through microwave treatment. Prepared Si NPs were very stable in aqueous media and exhibit highly nontoxic properties for cellular media. 2017년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
