In this paper, density of carbon blocks were increased by molding compression of fluorinated cokes and binder pitch. XPS data showed fluorine content on the surface increase up to 28.97%. Wettability of fluorinated cokes and Binder pitch was examined at different temperatures. Through contact-angle tests, increment of fluorine on the surface of Cokes improved wettability property between cokes and binder pitch up to 70.1%. True density of Carbon blocks at the best wettability condition, increased 9.5% compared to carbon block consist of pristine cokes and binder pitch. |
