Influence of cationic surfactant on growth and morphology of α-alumina nanoparticle |
초록 |
Nano-sized plate-like alumina is known to increase fracture strength and toughness more than ball-like alumina grain in the preparation of composite materials, and nano-sized α-alumina particles have many applications in various industries. The α-alumina nanoparticles were synthesized using cationic surfactant via the sol-gel process and boehmite was formed as a intermediate compound. AlF3 was also added in order to induce plate-like morphology. The relationship between the characteristic of boehmite andthe properties, such as particle size and agglomeration, of final α-alumina was studied.It was observed that cationic surfactant affects the particle size and morphology of α-alumina particle. |
