Recently, polymer semiconductors containing diketopyrrolopyrrole(DPP) units in the main conjugated backbone have emerged as a promising class of materials for OTFTs and OPV devices. The DPP unit has several other beneficial attributes including its planarity, strong electron withdrawing capability and highly conjugated lactam structure which induces strong π-π interaction. In this work, we present the synthesis and detailed characterization of low band gap copolymer semiconductors which are prepared from the combination of the DPP unit with Anthracene via Suzuki coupling. The main intention of designing this polymer is to study the effect of energy transfer on optical, electrochemical and device performance properties. |
