제목 Applications of highly crystalline zeolites for gas-phase DME carbonylation
초록 A gas-phase carbonylation of dimethyl ether (DME) is one of the alternative reactions to produce chemical intermediates for value-added petrochemicals productions. The reaction rates are proportional to the number of protonic Brønsted acidic sites in the 8-MR channels. In the present study, the simple strategies to further enhance the crystallinity of the Ferrierite (FER) are proposed by introducing seed-assisted re-crystallization method without using any organic structure directing agent (OSDA). The highly crystalline FER obviously revealed an excellent catalytic activity and stability for a gas-phase DME carbonylation, and it suppressed the surface coke precursors on active 8-MR channels. The distributions of the strong Brønsted acidic sites in the 8-MR and 10-MR channels of FERs and the formation rate of acetyl intermediate and types of coke precursors were explained by using the results of surface characterization and DFT calculations.
