Among nanoparticles for bioimaging, gelatin has been considered as the useful biomaterial because it is biodegradable, biocompatible and relatively low toxic. Here, we synthesize PEI-coated gelatin nanoparticles by precipitating hot gelatin solution with fluorescein in the ethanol. So, they have fluorescein molecules (FITC) inside the nanoparticle, which is called as FITC-PEI-gelatin nanoparticles. Several kinds of gelatin nanoparticles were obtained by changing the conditions such as ratio of ethanol and water when dialysis and its time. As a result, the resulting nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscope(TEM) and electrophoretic light scattering spectrophotometer(ELS), photoluminescence(PL) spectrometry and confocal laser scanning microscope(CLSM), and they were discussed for the further biological application. |
