A Study on the Distribution Behavior of Radiation-grafted Poly(styrenesulfonic acid) in PFA Membranes |

In this study, SEM-EDX were applied to investigate the distribution behavior of radiation-grafted poly(styrenesulfonic acid) in PFA membranes. The membranes with various the degree of grafting (DOG) and thickness were prepared by simultaneous radiation grafting of styrene and subsequent sulfonation with chlorosulfonic acid. The SEM-EDX study of the cross-section of the membranes show that poly(styrenesulfonic acid) of the membranes with moderate or higher DOG values, were evenly distributed from surface to inside. |
