Here, we utilize asymmetric alkoxy substitution to approach high efficient HTMs with green processing. The concept resulted in asymmetry in the monomer itself, leading to irregularity despite being a homopolymer. We characterize asymmetric polymer and fabricate hole transport layers using applicable green solvents from Hansen parameter fitting. The green solvent is named 2-methyl anisole that is used in food additives, which is edible and no harmful in human body. The asymmetric named asy-PBTBDT exhibits a high absolute solubility due to irregularity compared to the symmetric polymer (PBTBDT). Here, when asy-PBTBDT was applied to perovskite as HTM, high PCE was showed with chlorobenzene and environmentally friendly solvents without additives. Furthermore, we have seen slightly more high PCE improved by adding an additive. These materials have important industrial significance because of their high processability, reproducibility, stability and efficiency in edible solvents. |
