Synthesis and electrochemical performance of Li4Ti5O12/PEDOT:PSS for lithium ion battery |

We prepared Li4Ti5O12 by one-step solid-state carbon thermal reduction reaction. Samples of Li4Ti5O12 are synthesized with different content of PEDOT:PSS. The presence of PEDOT:PSS act as reductant. The formation mechanism of Li4Ti5O12 in the presence of carbon (PEDOT:PSS) was investigated. Moreover, the effect of Ti3+ on the electrochemical performance of the Li4Ti5O12 has been investigated systematically. Among all samples, the sample with 2% PEDOT:PSS additive exhibited the highest discharge capacity and best cycling stability. Our findings reveal that the surface modification with PEDOT:PSS can improve the electrical conductivity and Li+ diffusion coefficient and improve rate capacity and cycling stability significantly. |
