제목 A Facile Route of Polythiophene Nanoparticles via Fe3+-Catalyzed Oxidative Polymerization in Aqueous Medium
초록 Poly(thiophene) nanoparticles with various sizes were directly prepared by Fe3+-catalyzed oxidative polymerization of thiophene monomers emulsion in selective hydrogen peroxide volume. Poly(thiophene)s were initiated by oxidants using the FeCl3/H2O2 (catalyst/oxidant) combination system. At the optimized reaction condition, monomer percent conversions were above 90 %. Particle size of poly(thiophene) nanoparticles was 51 nm to 12 nm and photoemission wavelength of poly(thiophene) latex emulsion has red to blue color at the maximum excitation wavelength (λUVmax). As a result, we could tune the emitting colors from red to blue by controlling the particle size of poly(thiophene) nanoparticles, resulted from the variation of the effective conjugation chain length.
