Nanozymes with Heme Cofactor-Like Fe–N Single Site Embedded Graphene to Detect H2O2 with High Sensitivity |
초록 |
Nanozymes' catalytic activity has improved dramatically over the last decade, but their selectivity remains low, which is a major challenge to overcome. Fe–N4 single site embedded graphene (Fe–N-rGO), which mimics the heme cofactor found in natural horseradish peroxidase, exhibits up to 700-fold higher peroxidase-like catalytic efficiency than undoped rGO, as well as excellent selectivity toward target H2O2 without any oxidizing activity. Importantly, the activity of nanozymes is not significantly increased when Fe or N is doped alone or when Fe is replaced with another transition metal in the Fe–N4 site, indicating that mimicking the essential cofactor structure of natural enzymes may be necessary to design the catalytic features of nanozymes. |
