Amine-functionalized poly(glycidyl methacrylate-co-trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate) macroporous polymer for HF removal from aqueous solution |
초록 |
Synthesis and utilization of a free base weak anion exchange resin for the removal of HF from aqueous solution has been concerned in this study. Macroporous polymer bead was prepared by suspension polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate in the presence of toluene as an inert diluent, and functionalized further by reacting a variety of amine compounds with epoxy groups in the polymer bead. FT-IR and elemental analysis were performed in order to confirm the grafting of amine compounds onto the macroporous copolymer beads. Amine-modified copolymers were further characterized by SEM, BET analyzer and EDS. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out in order to determine the HF adsorption equilibrium and kinetic aspects of synthesized adsorbent. Fluoride removal capacity of this amine-functionalized copolymer was evaluated in a batch static system under non-competitive conditions. |
