pH-sensitive hydrogels composed of β-Cyclodextrin(βCD) and Hydrophobically modified alginate(HM alginate) were prepared by cross-lingking βCD-grafted Polyethyleneimine(PEI) using epichlorohydrin (EPI) and incorporating HM alginate into βCD-grafted PEI hydrogels. The molar ratio of βCD to PEI was 1:50, where the molar ratio of EPI/ βCD was 10/1, 5/1 and 3/1. The incorporation of the HM alginate was qualitatively conformed by FT-IR spectroscopy and SEM. At the acidic and alkali condition, the % release were higher than neutral condition due to the electrostatic repulsion. |
