It has been known that epoxy resin has high tensile strength, high heat distortion temperature and good chemical resistance. Epoxy resin has excellent self-extinguishing when it is compounded with halogenide, but it could emitenvironmentally hazardous gases such as dioxine, HF, and HCl during combustion. To enhance self-extinguishing, we synthesized various epoxy/graphite composites.Mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break were measured using universal testing machine (UTM). Thermal properties were also measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thrmogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Self-extinguishing was verified by combustion tester. |
