제목 Compatibilizing Effect of Poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) by percentage in High Impact Polystyrene / Themoplastic Urethane Blends.
초록 High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is most widely used polymer material in packaging materials such as tray and bottle, because of it’s well known advantages such as simple structure, easy manufacturing and low cost. But poor mechanical properties of polystyrene make limit for various applications. So, many research groups studied improving mechanical properties of high impact polystyrene (HIPS). Thermoplastic urethane (TPU) is used electrostatic discharge protection material for flexible segment such as polyester and polyether group by blending with common resin. But, TPU has polarity, it is not miscible with HIPS. In the present work, blends HIPS and TPU were prepared by melt blending, using poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride), cumene terminated (PS-co-MAH) as a reactive compatibilizer.
