Synthesis and Characterization of Metal/Ceramic Composites for GHz Range Applications |
초록 |
The wireless communication devices demand a high efficency magnetic materials in high frequency range. Especially the using frequency of mobile device has been so increased that magnetic materials having proper properties in GHz are considered more important to application. The transition metals satisfies these requirements such as Fe, Co and Ni due to high saturation magnetization and relative permeabillity. These materials, however, are vulnerable to oxidation and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) in GHz range. The effective insulating process were demanded to solve these problems. In this study, we synthesized Fe and Fe7Co3 alloy nanoparticles insulated by MgO or Al2O3 via ultrasonic spray pyrolysis combined with selective hydrogen reduction method. The metal/ceramic powders were successfully obtained “plum-pudding-like” composite exhibiting the structures of soft magnetic particles embedded into a spherical non-magnetic matrix; resulting in no FMR was detected at frequencies up to 10 GHz. The effect of synthesis parameters on composite structures and magnetic properties of micro/nano composites was also discussed. This study has significance in tailoring the FMR in the design of various soft magnet composites for practical applications. |
