제목 Characteristics of Motion of PMMA/SiO Composite Particle depending on Shape of a Rib for Electronic Paper
초록 Electronic paper display has the advantages of outstanding image stability, easy viewing, low-power consumption and a high-response time. We report a new method of fabrication was developed utilizing photolithographic and imprinting process in order to build up a rib in the cell structure. The surface was modified with nano-sized silica; PMMA/SiO2 composite by using solvent system. In this work, we investigated that the moving of particles with controlling shape of the rib such as an inverted triangle in the upper substrate and a triangle in the bottom substrate that was ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) patterned. we founded optimal conditions from changing the height, width, thickness, angle by bending of the rib in the experiment. we measured that display contrast, reflectance, response time, threshold and driving voltage at the 10μm particle by using the Otsuka LCD-2000SR.
