Effects of various clays dispersed in Hydroxyl terminated Polybutadiene. |
초록 |
HTPB(hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene)/organo-clay nanocomposite is made by Rotationary&Revolutionary mixer which generates a high shear rate. Organo-clays in this research are all commercial products and based on Cloisite Na+ from Southern clay. The clay amount varied 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% in HTPB/organo-clay nanocomposite. The hydroxyl end-functional group of HTPB aids the separation of clay layers. In this research, 20A and 10A are used to make HTPB/organo-clay nanocomposite. The percentage of organifier in organo-clay is calculated with thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The size and degree of d-spacing of organo-clay is examined by wide-angle x-ray diffraction(WAXD). The loss in three dimensional order of clay in HTPB/organo-clay nanocomposite is also examined with WAXS and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Parallel plate rheometer is used to measure shear viscosity as well as storage and loss modulus of HTPB/clay nanocompoiste. |
