제목 Characterization of branched polycarbonate by multidetectional gel permeation chromatography
초록 Polycarbonate (PC) is one of the engineering thermoplastics which has favorable properties such as high impact resistance, optical clarity and high ductility. The branched PC achieves high melt strength while retaining similar impact strength to the linear PC. In this study, we analyzed the absolute molecular weight and branches of the PC samples by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) coupled with triple detector array. Triple detector array (TDA) is composed of refractive index, light scattering and viscometer. By using this multidetectional GPC, we can’t analyze only the absolute molecular weight but also the branches and Mark-Houwink constants (a, K) in a single run.
