제목 Phosphorescence-Ratiometric Probe of Histamine
초록 Detecting biological histamine emerges as an important task, because histamine is involved in a variety of pathophysiological processes. However, conventional methods for detection of histamine rely on multistep protocols, so their utility is limited by inability for real-time monitoring. We discovered ratiometric phosphorescence behaviors of a cyclometalated solvento complex of Pt(II) (PtGR) toward histamine. PtGR displayed red phosphorescence, but the addition of histamine resulted in a hypsochromic shift due to ligand exchange. Kinetic study revealed a bimolecular rate constant to be as large as 6.9  102 M1 s1. Phosphorescence titration also revealed a tight interaction between PtGR and histamine with a small dissociation constant. PtGR showed excellent selectivity to histamine over other nucleophilic biomolecules. Finally, we successfully demonstrated a correlation between the histamine concentrations determined by employing ELISA and phosphorescence ratio by PtGR.
