α-Fe2O3 are received as promising anode materials among the transition metal oxides because of high theoretical capacity, environmentally friendliness, cheap cost. However, it’s large volume expansion during charge/discharge process (~100%) cause the particle to be pulverized. Here, we propose the high specific area iron oxide decorated with Co NPs which is formed as hollow structure. These hollow in hollow structure can enhance the specific capacity at high C-rate (400mAh/g at 5C-rate) and recovery after harsh condition (90% at 0.1C-rate after 5C-rate). Hollow in hollow structure which has high specific area act as capacitor at high C-rate so it can prevent iron Oxide to be pulverized and eventually enhance the specific capacity and stability at high C-rate. To sum up, we observe promising high specific area hollow in hollow structure concept as anode for lithium ion batteries and it can be combined in many scientific fields. |
