제목 Removal of NOx with n-heptane as a reductant via Non-Thermal Plasma Discharge in Honeycomb and Catalyst Stages
초록 In this study, the application of non-thermal plasma in two stages of plasma-catalyst was investigated for improving NOx reduction at low temperatures range (200-250℃) and atmospheric pressure. Herein, in first stage, a sandwich-type plasma honeycomb reactor, a honeycomb monolith catalyst inside between two electrodes, was operated under 400-Hz AC high voltage at room temperature; in second stage consisted of the commercial honeycomb catalyst was located in a furnace. The result indicated that there was only NO oxidized to NO2 and removal of NOx did not occur in the plasma stage at room temperature. However, the plasma and catalyst two-stage system increased the removal of NOx by about 30 % at a temperature of 200℃ and SEI of 25 J/L in the plasma stage. Moreover, the performance of honeycomb discharge for oxidizing NO and n-heptane in the feed gas depended on the moisture of the feed gas.
