제목 Synthesis and characterization of gold-coated iron nanoparticle-PMMA hybrid nanocomposites
초록 Hybrid nanocomposites  were prepared by dispersing gold-coated iron (Fe@Au) nanoparticles inside polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) matrix. Fe@Au nanoparticles were synthesized by using reverse micelle process and then, the bulk radical polymerization of methylmethacrylate (MMA) was performed in the presence of azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) and Fe@Au nanoparticles using microwave energy. The composites were analyzed by using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, vibrating sample magnetometer. The interfacial structure between Fe@Au nanoparticles and PMMA polymer was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and electrical resistivity measurement. Fe@Au nanoparticle-PMMA nanocomposites showed super-paramagnetic, surface plasmon resonance, and very smart physical behaviors which might be caused by metallic core-shell structure and interfacial structure of nanocomposites.
