Enhancing Humidity Sensing Performance by Inkjet Printing of Polyimide and Barium Strontium Titanate Nanoparticles |
초록 |
A polyimide (PI)/barium strontium titanate (BaxSr(1-x)TiO3)-based sensor was developed for humidity monitoring applications. The PI ink was formulated with 3 wt% polyimide resin and 97 wt% N,N-dimethylformamide, and the synthesized BaxSr(1-x)TiO3 was dissolved in α-terpineol to form an ink. These inks were inkjet printed on a rigid printed circuit board substrate. The comb structure copper electrodes and the PI/ BaxSr(1-x)TiO3 sensing layers were deposited after inkjet printing, followed by thermal curing, and etching. The capability of the fabricated humidity sensor was determined by measuring its capacitance response towards relative humidity (RH) varying from 0% to 97% at room temperature. As the RH increases, the capacitance of the printed sensor is expected to increase because of the PI’s increasing dielectric constant when adsorbing water. Moreover, it is expected that the sensor’s capacitance response would further be boosted during the addition of BaxSr(1-x)TiO3 nanoparticles due to its improved morphological characteristics. |
