The establishment of infrastructure such as hydrogen refueling stations(HRFS) is essential for the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles(HFCV). Most of the HRFS that are currently commercialized store and use in high-pressure storage tanks. However, there is a limit to the safety of storing large quantities of hydrogen due to the limitation and high pressure of the storage tank. Therefore, chemical-based hydrogen storage methods that enable large amounts of hydrogen storage are drawing attention to solve this problem. In this study, we design HRFS using ammonia and Methylcyclohexane (MCH) as hydrogen storage materials and conduct quantitative risk assessment. In addition, we compare the results of the risk assessment of existing GH2-based HRFS and discuss the safer form. |
