Single atom catalysts(SACs) receive great attention with high activity, stability and economical advantages. However, they have challenges in that there is a limit to exposing many active sites. Heteroatom doping such as nitrogen into carbon support increase the metal loading by reinforcing metal-support interaction, but it is still insufficient. Herein, two-dimensional graphene support was transformed into 3D shower ball-like shape, and its catalytic performance was enhanced due to improving mass transport and enlarging specific surface area. The three-dimensional support material offers not only pathways of ion transfer, but also accommodates more active sites on the interface. Consequently, platinum SAC on nitrogen doped-crumpled graphene support(NCG/Pt) shows outstanding catalytic activity comparing to 2D nitrogen doped graphene supported platinum SAC(NG/Pt). These results provide an understanding for morphological effect, excluding intrinsic activity. |
