Adsorption of organic dyes in hierarchically porous polymers from hyper-cross-linked block polymer precursors |
초록 |
Hierarchically porous polymers (HPPs) containing micropores smaller than 2 nm with meso- (2 - 50 nm) or macropores (> 50 nm) can improve adsorption rate of substances by accelerating diffusion onto microporous surface through the larger porous space. Here we discuss adsorption of organic dyes in HPPs containing micropores within the three-dimensionally continuous mesoporous frame work. Based on our previous report, HPPs were successfully derived from polylactide-b-poly(vinylbenzyl chloride-co-divinylbenzene), which was obtained by polymerization-induced microphase separation (PIMS) process. Hyper-cross-linking reaction of the precursor generated micropores in the polystyrenic domain by consuming benzyl chloride groups and also produced mesopores by degrading polylactide. Compared with hyper-cross-linked polymer containing only micropores, we discuss effect of three-dimensionally continuous mesopores in the equilibrium and dynamic adsorption behavior of organic dyes in solution. |
