Mesoporous silica’s with high surface area, large-pore size and pore volume with wormhole like framework structure was synthesized using tetraethyl orthosilicate as the silica source and polyglycidol modified Jeffamine D-2000 with different surfactants such as Jeffamie , modified jeffamine and jeffamine-HBP. The prepared materials were characterized by XRD analysis, nitrogen adsorption–desorption analysis, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The results clearly show that while optimizing the synthesis parameters such as the surfactant/silica precursor molar ratio at different hydrothermal conditions such as room temperature, 30, 60 °C and 90 °C. Among these conditions the mesopore size and the nanostructural order of the resulting material with high surface area, large-pore size and pore volume was observed that at 60 °C of the hydrothermal treatment. |
