Electrochromism (EC) has been studied to investigate various optical states in one device, which can lead to numerous applications according to its selective control of the transmittance at certain wavelength. These EC devices could demonstrate mirror state, broadening its application to smart display, rearview mirror in vehicles as well as smart window. In this study, we have demonstrated reversible 4 states in EC device, which is transparent, red, black and NIR-block states using kinetically deposited method. The device was composed of ITO glass, electrolyte including Ag ion and Li ion, and EC layer. We used Nano Particle Deposition System (NPDS) to fabricate EC layer. NPDS is a dry deposition system to accelerate particles to supersonic speed using compressed air. Fabricated WO3 film with varying roughness is possible via NPDS, to achieve reversible 4 states in EC device. |
