Preparation and mechanical properties of epoxy/hollow microsphere composites for Cryogenic conditions |
초록 |
Perlite and polyurethane insulation materials widely using in the LNG and cryogenic industry have poor insulation properties due to low strength and dimensional deformation . It is necessary to develop a new insulation material that can withstand the load of cryogenic thermal stress and minimize the change in insulating properties. This study is development of epoxy based composite insulation for application to pipelines transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) of about –163℃. In order to sustain very low temperature and improve the insulation properties, we were used hollow micro sphere which low specific gravity and excellent insulation properties. In particular, The cryogenic insulation properties of commercial polyurethane foam insulation and developed insulation were compared by applied to LNG pipeline. |
