In recent, Ca ion modified porous silica is replaced the toxic materials like Cr, Pb and so on. In this research, we’re synthesized nano-porous silica by unique process and in this process controlled the surface area(100~400m2/g) and pore volume(0.8~2.0ml/g) effectively. Then the surface of silica modified by calcium ions. Finally, 3~5% calcium ions were substituted on the surface of silica. When corrosion causing ions enter the paint film that applied on calcium modified nano-porous silica, they will contact the silica and ions will exchange. Corresponding calcium ions released to the metal surface and form calcium barrier which prevent corrosion causing. So, we can expect that the ca-ion modified nano-porous silica will be effective as anti-corrosive materials. |
