제목 Preparation of Cu2ZnSnS4 absorber layers by electrodeposition of stacked metallic layers
초록 Thin film solar cells based on chalcopyrites such as Cu(In,Ga)Se2 have achieved impressive ptoto-conversion efficiencies (PCE). However concern about the long term sustainability of solar cells based on scarce and expensive raw materials has prompted the search for alternative low cost absorber materials. An abundant and environmental friendlier version of CuInGaSe2 is Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS).
Electrodeposition is one of the attractive deposition techniques to deposit high quality CZTS photovoltaic thin films, which enable room temperature growth. Moreover, the technique is low cost and vacuum free.
In the present work CZTS thin films have been synthesized by sulfurization of electrodeposited stacked metallic layers. The systematic approach has undertaken in order to deposit compact Cu, Zn and Sn layers. The cycle voltammetry studies have been carried out to affix the deposition potentials for Cu, Zn and Sn. The metallic layers has been deposited with different stacking sequence such as Cu/Zn/Cu/Sn, Cu/Zn/Sn and Cu/Zn/Sn/Cu. The CZTS thin films have been prepared by sulfurization of different metallic stacks. Effect of stacking sequence on the properties of CZTS thin films has been studied.
