제목 Preliminary study of torrefaction of sewage sludge using fluidized bed
초록 In the present work, stable fluidization of sewage sludge was achieved in a bench scale fluidized bed with a distributor of pore size 5 µm. Stainless steel reactor with internal diameter of 30.7 mm and the height of 600 with 400 mm reaction zone height was used in this study. The fluidization was done without the inert bed material considering the risk of torrefied sewage sludge contamination due to the introduction of fine broken bed materials which increases the ash content. In torrefaction tests, the sample of 250-355 µm was used to minimize the internal heat and mass transfer. The sewage sludge load was fixed as 15 g. Calorific value, fixed carbon, ash content and volatile fraction along with the elemental analysis was conducted. The mass and energy yield continually decreased with increase in torrefaction temperature. Emitted gas was measured using gas analyzer.
