Nonviral Gene Delivery through PAMAM Dendrimer conjugated with amphiphilic Dipeptides |

Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer consisting of biodegradable functional groups is one of the non-viral vectors and has relatively low cytotoxicity. However, It has insufficient transfection efficiency. To improve transfection efficiency, we introduced KF dipeptides to PAMAM. PAMAM dendrimer conjugated with KF dipeptides showed increased transfection efficiency corresponding to that of native PAMAM dendrimer in HeLa and HepG2 cell lines with relatively low cytotoxicity. These results imply that introduction of KF dipeptide to cationic polymers can improve transfection efficiency. |
