제목 Development of Klebsiella oxytoca strain for 2,3-butanediol production and evaluation of 2,3-butanediol as a cosmetic material
초록 Klebsiella oxytoca can convert various carbon sources to 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BD), especially (2R,3S)-BD. To reduce the formation of byproducts, K. oxytoca strain was engineered by deleting the ldhA and pflB genes based on in silico analysis. Then, we optimized the fermentation conditions and produced 113 g/L of (2R,3S) rich-BD (0.45 g/g, 2.1 g/L/h). Additionally, we carried out a number of tests for (2R,3S) rich-BD produced from the K. oxytoca strain to evaluate the 2,3-BD application as a cosmetic material.
