Biomimetic magnesium scaffolds with directional pores by freeze-casting processing |
초록 |
A three-dimensional porous magnesium scaffold with directional pores, fabricated by freeze-casting process, was prepared for use in biomedical applications. Microstructural and mechanical examination of the porous magnesium scaffolds with a variety of porosity was carried out. The microstructure of the porous magnesium scaffolds was characterized by optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy. For mechanical characterization, compressive test and nano-indentation hardness measurements were performed. Additionally, a biocompatibility examination test is presented. It is suggested that the directional porous magnesium scaffold can be a promising biomaterial. |
