Characterization of Novel Agarases from a Marine Microbe Belonging to the Cellulophaga Genus and Their Potential Applications in Marine Biomass Conversion |
초록 |
Novel agarases from a newly isolated marine microbe, Cellulophaga omnivescoria sp. W5C, were identified, expressed, & assayed in E. coli. Aga2 and AhgI are the first agarases from Cellulophaga to be fully characterized. Aga2 is an endo-type β-agarase producing neoagarotetraose and neoagarohexaose, with a wide pH and temperature range and thermal stability. Meanwhile the α-NABH AhgI was most active at pH 7.0 and 20 °C and is enhanced by Ca2+.
