제목 | Carbon dioxide sequestering using chemically modified basalt mineral |
초록 | The potential dangers with increased concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, such as climate change and sea level rise and pollution, have led to much interest in CO2 capture and converting into alternative resources. In recent years, study on potential application of basaltic rocks are for sequestering carbon dioxide (CO2) has been done due to their capacities for trapping CO2 in carbonate minerals. Basaltic rocks which contain high concentrations of Ca2+, Mg2+ and Fe2+ can be utilized to from carbonate rocks. In this study, investigations are performed to study the interaction of basalt minerals with hydrochloric acid and temperature effect. The effects of the hydrochloric acid and temperature on the phase composition of reaction products are analyzed and the degrees of extraction of iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium and silicon and other elemental composition into liquid from are determined. And we calculated the CO2 absorption using gas analyzer (Optima7), and we got the phase transition during absorbing and de-absorbing of CO2.
